Artwork Story
Lorna Napurrula Fencer is a senior Warlpiri artist who was born in the Tanami Desert of Central Australia around 1925. She has exhibited her distinctive and colourful Caterpillar and Bush Potato paintings regularly in solo and group shows throughout Australia. In 2002, she made a group of striking etchings at Basil Hall Editions for Mimi Arts & Crafts and this delightful little image was part of that collaboration.
