Myra Cook was born at Kartjinguku Creek, near Warakurna in the east Gibson desert, Western Australia. She began to paint with Warakurna Artists in mid 2005 and has rapidly become one of its senior emerging artists. Myra Cook paints important Ngaanyatjarra stories from her mother’s and father’s country.
