Artwork Story
This print shows the minimindi (water lily). The round fruit contains many small seeds. The skin is peeled off to expose the orange brown seeds which are eaten. The stems of flowers can also be eaten, the tubers are dug up out of the mud, they are washed and roasted on the coals. They have a pleasant starchy taste.
