Jill lives with family in Ngukurr and began painting in 2003. Her sister is well-known artist Amy Johnson. Jill enjoys painting predominately ocean and landscape themes using bold bright colours.
Jill’s ability to bring out the vibrant colours of ocean creatures and habitat has captured the imagination of linen manufacturers as her paintings translate well to fabric. Her design “Sea Bed” has been made into bed linens that were in Target stores across the country in May 2009.
