This print represents men making a bushfire. The circles are sacred sites where the ancestral beings pass through on their travels throughout the landscape to create the dreaming and bring it into reality. The fire is made by the men rubbing a digging stick on a coolamon (both made from wood) this eventually heats the wood and produces fire.
This print was produced by Cicada Press at the University of New South Wales, College of Fine Arts.
