Wamud has depicted three narbalek (rock wallaby). Rock wallabies can been seen throughout the escarpment area around Wamud’s oustation Kabulwarnamyo.
Narbalek often feature in rock art and bark paintings and are significant animals in Kunwinjku culture. They are prized game as well as being totems for some clans.
This plate was created by Wamud in 2006 and was printed after his passing in 2009. The print has been authenticated with the Injalak Arts & Crafts Association Inc stamp on the back bottom left corner.
