KOR NAKA motif is a contemporary modification of two traditional motifs; Kor Nak Matanab motif which depicts the heads of two birds meeting and Kor Kase motif which depicts a single bird. The word Kor represents the name of the royal family Koroh; which is also the name of a rare bird known as isu in Amarasi. The work Nak or Naka represents the head of a bird. Birds are auspicious in Atoin meto culture for leading the clan founders to new lands and guiding the soul of deceased clan members on the dangerous journey from the mundane world to the upper world of their ancestors. This motif was traditionally worn by the royalty and aristocrats of the Amarasi Kingdom.
