Artwork Story

” Kukapanyu (well 39) on the Canning Stock Route. Near Kurtal about 10 mile from there. Two Lungkura, (blue tongue lizard) one brown, one white one been fighting here. The white one (becomes) salty water hole bubby water, the other one (becomes) fresh bubbly water – like quick sand – sink down”. Lungkurra and Jalapa (like Lungkurra but brown and clean, he makes toilet in one place) walk away from camp little bit long way and came back to camp.

 

There were fighting Minijarti and Lungkurra. They were jealous each other for they babies two babies Lungkurra Jalapa only had one baby. Jalapa were jealous for Minijarti colours baby. The jalapa had a big head and dark colour. Jalapa took away the babies for Minijarti. Minijarti bin findem playing around near Kurtal. She took her babies back to Lungkaurra. The circle are the dry waterhole Lungura is the jila quiet one any one can drink kangaroo’s turkey’s they all drink here.”
