Brian has created a Jilamara (design) which shows that different Tiwi people belong to different county, on the Tiwi Islands. Although there are eight different clan groups, Brenda is not depicting this literally but using the concept to create a pleasing and intricate design. Each circle contains a unique design denoting a different area of land but all are
connected with lines representing paths between each country. Pwanga (dots) and mulypinyini (lines) in the broader areas represent people hunting and traveling; they hunt for mangrove worms, mud crab, long bums and mussels.
