Artwork Story
Yalmakany Marawili is a Madarrpa clans woman, daughter of Wakuthi Marawili, (leader of the large Madarrpa clan.) and the sister to Djambawa Marawili. Yalmakany is currently living at Yirrkala with her husband Waninya Marika, and their children. Yalmakany works on bark using earth pigments and ochres, as well as her linocut prints.
