Lewis is the Artistic Director of Djilpin Arts, including the annual Walking With Spirits Festival and has been twice recognized for his lifetime achievement in indigenous arts (Australia Council Red Ochre Award 2006, AFC (Screen Australia) Bob Maza Award 2005).
