Artwork Story
Nyarrapyi Giles is one of the respected elder women of the Tjukurla Community. She was born at Kaarku west of Warakurna in Western Australia.
She grew up around the Tjukurla area and settled here when the Community was first established in the 1980’s. She works with punu, (wood carving) and Tjanpi (basket weaving) and enjoys hunting in the bush. Her work is highly sought after by galleries and collectors.
