Artwork Story
‘When I was small I worked ironing and sweeping and doing housework. I also worked at the Yirrkala hospital and I worked in the Kindergarten with the children teaching Yolngu stories. I worked at the women’s resource centre learning cooking. I am a new artists but I picture these stories that were told by my father. I learnt from my mother she was a very good hunter, weaver and good mother. I was born on Inglis Island near Mata mata community. When i was a baby my parents took me back to Yirrkala. I had one brother and three sisters.’
