Marlithen Kinthari works as an artist at the Wadeye Womens Centre. Artists from Wadeye Palngun Wurnangat share their stories with you through their contemporary and traditional fabric designs. Palngun Wurnangat Assoc (PWA) is an independently owned Indigenous women’s organisation based in Wadeye, Northern Territory. Palngun Wurnangat means ‘women all together‘, or ‘all the women here‘ in Murrinhpatha – the main shared language spoken in the Wadeye region. Wadeye women artists’ talents in the design, production and sale of beautiful printed fabrics are creating economic development opportunities within the Thamarrurr Region.
