Artwork Story
This dilly bag fabric design is by Alanga Nganbe from Wadeye Community, Port Keats, Northern Territory. The women go out into the bush and collect thithimampe (sand palm) to make the string for the bags. They then dye the string with all the different colours they get from tree roots, bark and berries.
